Australia’s opening Test with England at Perth’s Optys Stadium was briefly halted after Wallabies star Tom Banks suffered a gruesome arm break.
The 28-year-old was forced off 23 minutes into his side’s clash with Eddie Jones’ side, who were leading 6-0 at the time.
Replays showed Banks landing awkwardly on his arm, causing an apparent break, with Sky Sports commentator Miles Harrison apologising for the graphic nature of the replays as the game was halted for nearly five minutes.
“If you’re queasy don’t watch this – it’s game over,” All Blacks great Andrew Mehrtens said on Nine and Stan Sport.
“That could be a pretty nasty injury”
We wish Tom Banks speedy recovery
