At the end of the season, John Afoa will leave Bristol to join Bears teammate Nathan Hughes in France.
The 38-year-old former New Zealand prop has agreed to sign a four-year contract with Pro D2 club RC Vannes, ending his four-year spell at Ashton Gate.
