The USA National Rugby team earned a historic victory on Saturday. The Eagles shocked Scotland 30-29, logging the team’s first-ever victory over a Tier 1 team.
The game started well for Scotland, Stuart Hogg’s break on two minutes set up Kinghorn for the score. In the first period, Scotland only got 11 point lead over USA.
However, the Eagles fought back well enjoyed plenty of possession and territory
Alan MacGinty had a huge impact on this victory, MacGinty kicked three conversions and three penalty goals and at 59 min he kicked a high ball and chased that. Unfortunately, Matt Fagerson dropped it and MacGinty was there, gathered the ball, kept going, fed Hanco Germishuys on his left, and the flanker slid in at the corner. Macginty converted
Scotland scored at 82 min but Blair Kinghorn couldn’t land the conversion from out wide.
