Farrell’s club Saracens release statement on Friday saying he has sustained a new injury in training and will see a specialist next week
Saracens published a statement on Friday morning, half an hour before their team to face the Exiles was to be announced, stating that Farrell had suffered a fresh injury in training and would be seeing a specialist early next week.
Farrell is unlikely to join England for their training camp in Brighton next week, and the Rugby Football Union will provide an update to England’s 36-man squad on Monday following this weekend’s European schedule.
The Leicester Tigers’ fly-half, George Ford, could have done little else to win a recall.
